Bobsleigh guest rides

Where can I find information about the bobsleigh guest rides?

The most important information about the guest bobsleigh rides is summarised in our → GTC.

What should I wear for the guest bobsleigh ride?

We recommend comfortable winter clothing that you would also wear on a walk. Important: However, do not wear long coats or overly bulky shoes. And don't forget your gloves.

Do I have to/can I bring a helmet?

No, we will provide you with a suitable helmet in your size.

Are there any age restrictions?

Bobsleigh guest rides are possible from the age of 16, provided the signature of a guardian is present. Guests aged 70 and over are requested to present a doctor's certificate stating that they have no health concerns regarding a bobsleigh ride.

Are there any health restrictions?

Yes, please check the relevant information in our → GTC carefully. If you have any concerns, please contact your doctor.

Do the bobsleigh guest rides take place in all weathers?

We always endeavour to carry out the runs in all weathers. However, due to the fact that the Olympia Bob Run is a natural ice bobsleigh run, it is possible that we may have to cancel bobsleigh guest rides. This applies in particular in the event of unusually high temperatures. Should a cancellation be necessary, we will inform you immediately and look for an alternative solution together with you. Please make sure that you have given us a correct mobile phone number when booking. Please also note that there is usually a maximum of 2-3 days of cancellation per season.

Are the bobsleigh guest rides available all day?

No, for organisational reasons we can only offer bobsleigh guest rides at the times indicated on the website.

Am I starting exactly at the specified time?

When exactly you get into the bobsleigh is determined by your start number. You can collect your start number from 7.00 am on the day of your ride at the → Info Point at the bobsleigh start. To ensure that the process runs smoothly, we allocate start numbers on a first come, first served basis.

When do I have to be there at the latest?

We ask you to arrive at the → Info Point at the bobsleigh start half an hour before the start of the guest bobsleigh rides in order to register for the ride on site. For example, if the guest bobsleigh rides start at 11.00 a.m., you should be at the Info Point by 10.30 a.m. at the latest.

I am coming by car. What address do I enter in the navigation system?

If you want to go directly to the Bob Start, please enter the following address: Via Maistra 54, 7500 St. Moritz. There is a limited number of parking spaces in the start area. Follow the signs for P1 or P2. If you wish to park in the underground car park (P1), please use the parking spaces to the left of the entrance.

Further car parks are located in the finish area in Celerina. Please note that the direct connecting road between St. Moritz and Celerina is closed for private traffic in winter.

I am travelling by public transport. Which stop do I have to get off at?

From St. Moritz railway station, take bus line 3 to the bus stop "St. Moritz Dorf, Schulhausplatz". Then change to bus number 2 or 6 and travel to "St. Moritz, Bären". From there you can reach the Bob Start on foot in a few minutes.

Can I sit in the same bobsled as my travelling companion?

On the bobsleigh guest rides, there is one pilot and one brakeman in the bobsleigh. Between them, you and another guest take a seat. This second guest can be someone from your group. If you come alone, you will be seated with another individual.

Can I decide to take a bobsleigh guest ride at short notice?

If there are still places available, you can come directly to the → Info Point at the bobsleigh start on the day of the ride. You can book your ride there and pay either by credit card or cash. The price for one person is CHF 269.
