Kreher/Jungk (GER 2) win first European Championship gold in Skeleton Mixed Team

Zhao Dan/Yin Zheng (CHN 1) win World Cup, Fumagalli/Bagnis (ITA 1) with silver ahead of GBR 2

St. Moritz – Celerina (RWH) Skeleton sporting history for Susanne Kreher/Axel Jungk: As Team GER 2, the skeleton athletes from Germany won the first ever European Championships in Skeleton Mixed Team in St. Moritz – Celerina (SUI). At the IBSF World Cup on the Olympia Bobrun in St. Moritz-Celerina (SUI), which also counted as the continental championship for teams from Europe, titles and medals were up for grabs for the first time in the mixed competition for skeleton athletes.

The World Cup victory on the Olympia Bobrun St. Moritz-Celerina went to the Chinese team of Zhao Dan/Yin Zheng, ahead of the new European Champions Kreher/Jungk in second place. Third in the IBSF World Cup and with European Championship silver: Alessandra Fumagalli/Amedeo Bagnis (ITA 1). Skeleton Mixed will be an Olympic sport for the first time at the 2026 Winter Games in Milano Cortina on the Italians’ home track in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Freya Tarbit/Jacob Salisbury (GBR 2) secured European Championship bronze in St. Moritz with fourth place in the World Cup.

Mixed World Champions Mystique Ro/Austin Florian from the USA finished fifth in the IBSF World Cup, tied with Team GBR 1 (Amelia Coltman/Marcus Wyatt).

In the overall mixed standings for the 2025/2026 IBSF World Cup, GBR 1 (634 points) continues to lead ahead of USA 1 (578) and GER 1 (578) going into the final.
