Second win of the season for Britain’s Brad Hall in the four-man bobsleigh World Cup: The 2023 World Championship silver medalist, together with Taylor Lawrence, Arran Gulliver, and Leon Greenwood, clocked the fastest times in both heats, claiming his second win of the season after Winterberg (GER) and securing his fourth podium finish in five races this season.
Behind Hall, who has now stood on the World Cup podium 25 times across two- and four-man bobsleigh events, Olympic champion and World Champion Francesco Friedrich (GER, 0.21 seconds behind) took second place with Matthias Sommer, Alexander Schüller, and Felix Straub. For defending World Cup champion Friedrich, this marked his 60th IBSF World Cup podium finish in the four-man sled.
Third place went to Olympic runner-up Johannes Lochner (GER, 0.28 seconds behind) alongside Florian Bauer, Erec Bruckert, and Georg Fleischhauer.
Swiss athlete Cédric Follador celebrated his best World Cup result today on home soil with Nicola Mariani, Luca Rolli, and Quentin Juillard. In a tie with World Championship bronze medalist Adam Ammour (GER) alongside Benedikt Hertel, Issam Ammour, and Rupert Schenk, Follador finished fourth, ahead of the Italian team of Patrick Baumgartner, Eric Fantazzini, Robert Mircea, and Lorenzo Bilotti in sixth place.
The other Swiss teams: The Rohner Bulls finished seventh, while Team Vogt claimed eighth place.
In the overall standings for the 2024/25 IBSF World Cup, Francesco Friedrich (GER, 1095 points) continues to lead after five of eight races, ahead of Brad Hall (GBR, 1044 points) and Johannes Lochner (GER, 996 points).
