St. Moritz – Celerina (RWH) First World Cup victory in the 4-man Bobsleigh crowned with first European Championship title: Adam Ammour (GER) is the 2026 European Champion in the 4-man Bobsleigh. At the IBSF World Cup in St. Moritz – Celerina (SUI), which also counts as the continental championship for European athletes, Adam Ammour with push athlete crew Issam Ammour, Joshua Tasche and Alexander Schaller relegated their teammates, defending European Champion Johannes Lochner (GER, 0.07 seconds behind) with Thorsten Margis, Jörn Wenzel and Georg Fleischhauer to second place. In the second race run, Ammour and his team also set the track record on the Olympia Bob Run St. Moritz Celerina (1:04.47 minutes).

In third place, Swiss local hero Michael Vogt (SUI, 0.55 seconds behind) celebrated his first podium finish in the 2025/2026 Olympic winter season in his 50th 4-man Bobsleigh start in the IBSF World Cup with Dominik Hufschmid, Andreas Haas and Amadou Ndiaye. For Vogt, it’s his third European Championship bronze medal after 2023 and 2025.

Markus Treichl (AUT) with Sascha Stepan, Markus Sammer and Kristian Huber and Patrick Baumgartner (ITA) with Eric Fantazzini, Robert Mircea and Lorenzo Bilotti tied for fourth place in the World Cup and European Championship standings in St. Moritz – Celerina. Olympic Champion Francesco Friedrich (GER) with Matthias Sommer, Alexander Schüller and Felix Straub, who were only in 14th place after the first run due to problems at the start, moved up to sixth place with the third-best time in the second run, but missed the World Cup podium in the 4-man Bobsleigh for the first time since January 2023.
