Baumgartner Wins Women’s European Cup – Song and Schmied Finish Second and Third

Sarah Baumgartner of Austria secured victory in the IBSF European Cup for women with a total time of 2:20.96 minutes. The athlete impressed with two consistently strong runs and deservedly claimed the top spot in the standings.

Sijin Song of China followed in second place with a total time of 2:21.29 minutes,.

The podium was completed by Switzerland’s Sara Schmied. With a time of 2:21.98 minutes, she secured third place and celebrated a podium finish in front of the home crowd.

Further strong Swiss results were achieved by Alexa Carolin Andrae in ninth place with 2:22.68 minutes and Sarah Lüscher in twelfth place with 2:23.11 minutes.

In the European Cup overall standings for women, Viktoria Hansova of Germany leads with 662 points. She is followed by Michelle Toukan of the USA (616 points) and Sijin Song of China (574 points).
